The Ancient Order of Hibernians Presents Our Annual Ceili, Sat. March 7, 2009

CEILI (kay-lee) is an Irish term for a night of Irish music, fun, dance and laughter.
We hope you can join us.

WHEN: Saturday March 7. 2009. Doors open at 5 PM, show starts at 6 PM

WHERE: Knight of Columbus Hall, 1624 Marion St. (corner of Blanding St.) in downtown Columbia

Come and enjoy the Irish music and songs of TJ LANAGHAN. Lanaghan resides in the Columbia area and has performed at Irish Pubs and folk venues throughout the Southeast for over 10 years.Finnbar Dunphy will also provide music.

The Ceili is not complete unless RINCE NA H'EIREANN perform their classic Irish step dance routines. This Columbia area dance troupe has competed in dance competitions worldwide and has performed in in Glasgow, Scotland.

ADMISSION:Advance tickets are only $5.00 each, $10 at the door. Ages 16 & under admitted free, must be accompanied by an adult. Advance tickets are available at Delaney’s, 741 Saluda Ave. in Five Points. Food & beverage available at reasonable prices.

MARCH 10 2007: at the SC State Museum in Columbia SC, an Irish Heritage Day Celebration took place.

This included a mini Irish Exhibit about Ireland entitled "Coming to America", Storytelling by Batt and Maura Burns, Irish dancing by Rince N'ah Eireann,
as well as the announcement of the First Prize-Winner for South Carolina's First Annual Irish Heritage Essay Contest. Photos by Alan Geoghegan
